The year 2006, marked the 150th anniversary of the birth of the scientific genius Nikola Tesla. In view of the occasion the Croatian Sabor (Parliament) had passed a resolution declaring that year
Nikola Tesla Year. To mark this jubilee an organizing committee had been appointed that included the representatives of the Croatian Sabor, of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Science, also distinguished individuals and the representatives of renowned scientific organizations and institutions. Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla was also a member of the organizing committee. Our company took part in many activities related to this celebration as it unites in its operations the visionary approach of Nikola Tesla and the entrepreneur spirit of Lars Magnus Ericsson.

Ericsson Nikola Tesla was also co-organizing an international conference under the title "Life and work of Nikola Tesla", that took place on June 28 and 29 in Zagreb, in the concert hall "Vatroslav Lisinski", under the auspices of the Croatian Sabor. Within the celebration program the company was responsible for the Annual Scholarship Ericsson Nikola Tesla for research in electrical engineering and computing. The company also participated in the renovation of Nikola Tesla Cabinet in the Technical Museum in Zagreb.

The company also marked Nikola Tesla Year with activities in many communication areas, from printed and electronic publications to organizing events or participating in them in 2006.
