Ericsson Nikola Tesla's ICT solutions for traffic

Our company presented its ICT solutions for traffic at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences at the conference on ICT in traffic technology, held late in November. The conference was organized by Ericsson Nikola Tesla and the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences within the scope of their agreement on business and technical collaboration. About 90 attendants from various specialty areas took part in the conference proceedings: traffic experts from public and municipal agencies and private enterprises, professors from other faculties of Zagreb University, engineers and students.  


ETK representatives were: Boris Drilo, Director of ICT for Government and Enterprise segment, Dinko Šarić, Manager of Advanced Technologies and Services and Renato Filjar, responsible for strategic portfolio development in intelligent transport systems. 

 

After the welcome speeches delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Ivan Dadić and the Chair of Transport Telematics, Professor Mario Anžek, our representatives held a joint one-hour lecture; they presented business and technology achievements of Ericsson Group and Ericsson Nikola Tesla relating to traffic. Boris Drilo presented ETK as knowledge and advanced technology company and emphasized its stable leading position in ICT. Renato Filjar presented major ICT technologies and their advanced solutions for traffic. By implementing intelligent transport systems these solutions enable sustainable traffic growth, optimum goods and passenger transport, safety for all traffic participants, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. 

 

During the discussion our specialists answered lots of questions from an interested audience consisting of business representatives, market participants and reputable traffic experts. The questions were about communication and navigation technology and geospatial contents, challenges relating to the implementation and regulation of intelligent transport systems up to students' questions about how to get involved in ITS activities of the company Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
