Ericsson's first Business Innovation Forum

The Business Innovation Forum took place in Stockholm on 23rd and 24th June and it was open exclusively to the media; represented were 33 countries from all over the world, including Croatia. Within a packed professional program the media representatives attended presentations held by Ericsson's managers and specialists, also by university representatives, independent analysts and creators of telecom and ICT development strategies who presented their view of social and technology development in the forthcoming decade.


The main topic of the Innovation Forum was Ericsson's innovative culture and active participation in the development of new technologies and business models to strengthen corporate technology leadership and ensure its role as a prime-driver of sustainable development in global society.


In his welcome speech for the media Carl-Henric Svanberg, president and CEO of Ericsson, highlighted the role technology has in serving people, ensuring a better quality of life, and contributing to sustainable development of society that should benefit coming  generations. Ericsson is an innovative work environment and is fully aware of its own strategic position and technology leadership in global society.   


The Forum took place during the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Stockholm (featuring successful participation of Ericsson 3 and Ericsson 4 boats in this toughest around-the-world sailing competition). Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla and the sponsor of the race winner Ericsson 4 attended this meeting and business event held for nearly thousand media representatives from all over the world. The packed program included a sight-seeing tour in Stockholm harbor with anchored race boats, meeting corporate management, discussing topics with Forum attendants.
