Scope of activities
New ways of work
Ericsson Nikola Tesla is a company open to knowledge sharing and collaboration. It is our desire to present our work models and projects to various companies in Croatia. A constituent part of our business operations are the promotion and implementation of new information and communication technologies as the prerequisites for the development of the national economy and of entire society and for the fast accession of Croatia to the EU (Internetization in Croatia, e-government, Ericsson Mobility Word, new communication solutions for the government of the Republic of Croatia and other).
Human resources development
Ericsson Nikola Tesla carefully plans the development and training of its human resources. Among the priorities of the company is to employ young, creative people with university degree, to provide them with highly yielding assignments, to create a pleasant work environment, and to let them fulfill their professional assignments here, in Croatia. We are permanently focused on the development of the overall capacities of the entire organization and of employees and we measure them in order to create added value for our customers and consequently for our shareholders. One of the measuring tools is the employees survey Dialog.
Equal opportunities and gender equality

We pay special attention to the equality of employees, disregarding their gender, race or age. In the total number of employees women participate with 30%, and among them there are many in managerial positions, which confirms our high awareness of gender equality. The corporate award Ericsson European Equality Award (EEEA) for gender equality in business environment attested this, the award given to Ericsson Nikola Tesla in 2001.
Sustainable development

Pursuant to business concept that focuses on customers, employees and other stakeholders, on environmental care and sustainable development i.e. on fulfilling the needs and expectations of present and future generations, Ericsson Nikola Tesla desires to maintain its leading position as a socially responsible company. ETK aims at increasing the awareness, both in Croatia and in the countries of its business, of the necessity of sustainable development by designing, manufacturing and offering such products and services that improve the quality of life and productivity and enable a more resource-efficient world.
Occupational health and safety
The health and safety of employees and of service and equipment users are our priorities. Ericsson believes in the future of mobile communications and investigates/researches the influence of radio waves on human health and also supports research carried out by independent international institutions. All Ericsson products are free from any human health hazard and this has been acknowledged by renowned world health organizations. Ericsson Nikola Tesla takes care of employees’ health and systematically improves the working conditions. Medical check-ups of employees are carried out, hazard in workplace is assessed and lectures are organized on possible health impairments. The company objective is to be the best company in Croatia in the field of occupational health and safety.
Support to associations and organizations and our participation in their activities
We are the founding member of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) and we have been involved in their activities since its foundation. For some time now we have actively supported the activities of Zaklada 2020, a non-profit organization that should define the development strategy for Croatia. We are also a founder of the Mobile Communications Association of Croatia (UPKH). The Association provides information concerning the mobile communications, for instance about the influence of mobile phone on human health, environment, and also about the mobile communication etiquette.
Collaboration (Work) with universities
By supporting the educational process we create the prerequisites for the implementation of modern technologies in the business world. We are aware of the fact that through university support projects we create the prerequisites for our successful operation in the future because today’s students will be our employees tomorrow.
Sponsorships and donations

For many years now the company has been allocating some of its income to donations and sponsorship projects for the broader community. It is our objective to help our citizens, esp. the young ones to get involved in new communication activities. Until now Ericsson Nikola Tesla has donated communication equipment and solutions or has granted financial assets to a number of cultural, educational, scientific, sport-related and humanitarian projects. The company also takes care of the needs of its employees and provides financial support to their sports and cultural clubs.
