See you, Åke!
A Farewell Party in Honor of Mr. Åke Enell
After six years as the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Åke Enell ceased to head the company on January 1, 2005 and decided to face new challenges.

Wishing to express his sincere gratitude to business partners and friends from Croatia and abroad for their co-operation and support throughout all these years, he invited to a farewell party organized in his honor on February 25. The venue of the event was the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb (MUO) where gathered round 250 guests. Representatives of the telecom industry, economic and political life, state and city authorities, guests from the Ericsson corporation, ETK managers and close associates to Åke Enell attended the party. Mr. Enell personally welcomed all the guests in the MUO atrium, a nice space built in the elegant German neo-Renaissance style. After the master of the ceremony welcomed all present, Miroslav Gašparović, director of the Museum of Arts and Crafts addressed the guests as the host.

Gordana Kovačević, a newly appointed President of the company thanked to Åke Enell for his successful leading the company. As a token of gratitude and recognition of his contribution, Gordana Kovačević delivered to Åke Enell a nice painting with the Zagreb motive, a piece of the Croatian painter Mladen Veža. The dean of the Faculty for Electrical Engineering and Computing Mladen Kos also addressed Åke Enell and delivered him a nice painting.
Deeply touched by the friendly atmosphere, Åke Enell thanked for nice words and presents and emphasized that the years spent at ETK were the most thriving ones in his career. It was a great privilege working with the ETK experts and added that Croatia won his heart.

Unexpectedly for all present, except for the organizing committee, an eight-minute interactive DVD entitled “A close-up story, or a photo diary of a President” devoted to a six-year stay of Mr. Enell at the head of ETK was shown. The atmosphere of the party was cordial and accompanied by the music of the “Swingers” band.
