Croatian leading exporter of advanced telecommunications solutions Ericsson Nikola Tesla has been also very successful in its activities in the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On August 22, 2005 the company signed two contracts with the operator BH Telecom, its traditional business partner.

The contracts exceeding the value of HRK 25 million were signed by Jagoda Carić, the director of Marketing and Sales for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and Hamdo Katica, managing director of BH Telecom.

The contracts cover the extension of fixed and mobile networks. In the segment of mobile telephony, the issue is the implementation of the second phase of the EDGE technology, which allows greater data transfer speed than GPRS. Using EDGE, mobile operators provide their users with fast and secure transfer of audio and video recordings, access to business applications and entertainment contents as well as faster Internet access.

The both contracts to be realized till the end of the year 2005.
