Modernization of Monet's GSM network  
New agreement concluded between Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Monet
The mobile telephony operator Monet from Montenegro, since recently owned by Matav Hungary, continued its dynamic investment cycle in order to satisfy the needs of its subscribers with the newest GSM network solutions. On April 20, 2005 they signed a large contract with Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the Croatian supplier of communication equipment and solutions. This is an acknowledgement of mutual trust and good cooperation that has existed for many years.
The contract issue is the modernization of Monet's GSM network with the newest services in order to meet customer requirements. Thus both the coverage and the capacity shall be increased and the network functionality improved.
This contract has been the first significant investment since Matav Hungary became the major owner of Telekom Montenegro and consequently of Monet, indicating that the owner and the management give priority in their business policy to present and future customer needs and requirements.
The contract was signed by: Miodrag Ivanović, CEO of Monet, Pàl Kustra, member of the Board of Directors of Telekom Montenegro and Jagoda Carić, the Marketing and Sales Manager for Montenegro of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
