Fire also caught Time Shuttle's warehouse with Ericsson equipment
In the big fire which broke out on September 10, 2005 at one of Zagreb warehouses at Jankomir owned by the company Trius, among other things damaged by the fire there was a part of Ericsson's equipment that was to be delivered to Ericsson Nikola Tesla's customers in the country and abroad. Namely, Ericsson Nikola Tesla outsourced storage and transport services about two years ago and currently these services are rented from the local, i.e. Croatian limited liability company of German Time Shuttle GmbH, which stored Ericsson goods on Trius premises. As previously reported by the Croatian media, during a welding job conducted by workers employed by another storage space leaseholder on these premises on the stated date a spark caused the fire that spread very quickly as in the vicinity some oil and lubricants were stored. Before the fire brigade could put out the fire, it also caught the part of the warehouse hired by Time Shuttle with Ericsson's equipment.
Considering Ericsson Nikola Tesla strives not only to satisfy, but even to surpass its customers' expectations, the company is doing everything in their power to overcome this unfortunate situation, keeping the high standards of its service to which the customers are accustomed. All internal company resources involved in the realization of contracts within which the damaged equipment should have been supplied are putting in maximal efforts to resolve the problem. The support of the entire Ericsson group has also been requested. The concrete actions to start the urgent procedure of delivery of new equipment have already been undertaken.
"We'll try to do everything that needs to be done in order to realize all jobs involving equipment damaged by the fire, i.e. by vis major, in line with the planned deadlines or with minimal delays. We are aware that delays in equipment deliveries can cause serious trouble for the operators we cooperate with in their efforts to meet the communication needs of their subscribers so we are thoroughly engaged in ensuring that this unfortunate happening influences our customers’ business with minimal effect. I am convinced that Ericsson as the leading world communications supplier will find the right answer to this challenge on our local market and that our customers both in and out of the country will be satisfied by the way we resolved this issue", comments Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
