Awards in the EU-related Internet page contest 
Login@Europe awards presentation at Ericsson Nikola Tesla
The Login@Europe 2005 is the annual elementary and high school contest in Croatia in the design of web pages with the content about the European Union. The contest has been organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations and CARnet. The purpose of the contest is to encourage high school students to develop, adapt and present information about the EU to the young population over the Internet as interactive multimedia.

The contest topic for 2005 was «Let's get to know the EU», with the contest slogan «Click to get to Europe». The selected topic emphasizes information and education as indispensable in the development of a democratic society and it complies with the European Year 2005 and its motto «Citizenship through Education».

Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the sponsor to the Login@Europe contest, was also the host to the award presentation ceremony that took place on the company premises. Ericsson Nikola Tesla has been sponsoring the Login@Europe project from its very beginning, thus supporting the development of competence and knowledge about the European Union.

The first prize for the best web page about this topic went to IV. gimnazija Zagreb, the second to Bjelovarska gimnazija and the third to XV. gimnazija Zagreb. The first prize consisted of a computer workshop for the school and mobile phones Sony Ericsson K700i for the members of the winning team. Ericsson Nikola Tesla sponsored the event and the president of the company, Gordana Kovačević, presented all awards. In her speech she pointed out the importance of knowledge and modern technology in all walks of life and their role in the society and European integrations. At the beginning of the gathering the public was addressed by Marija Pejčinović Burić, state secretary from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration who was accompanied by Jasna Mileta, assistant minister in the same Ministry. The award ceremony was attended by Dragan Primorac, the minister of science, education and sports.
Special Award for the best multimedia contents went to the Technical School from Požega. The school «Janko Drašković» from Zagreb was declared the Best Elementary School. Special Award for creativity was presented to the elementary school «Slavko Kolar» from Hercegovac.

After the award ceremony guests made a tour within ETK and spent some time chatting with the employees of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
