In 2005 ETK's monthly «Komunikacije» celebrates its 40th birthday. The paper is among a few company newspapers and bulletins in Croatia with such a long and continuous publishing record. According to data supplied by the Croatian Journalists' Association there are only fifteen company newspapers and bulletins left although not so long ago almost every major enterprise in Croatia had its own bulletin. Only the newspapers of ZET, Podravka, Željezničar, also the Končarevac and Tribina (company bulletin of Kraš) have a longer publishing record.
We celebrated this anniversary on company premises on Friday, 15th April. Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla spoke about the importance of "Komunikacije" and emphasized its role in the integrated communication system implemented in the company. The company newspaper used to be an important communication channel in the restructuring process during which Ericsson Nikola Tesla changed from a manufacturing company into a modern company of knowledge and became one of the leading Croatian exporters. She thanked to all involved for their efforts and contribution in creating a positive image of the company.
Snježana Bahtijari, the director of Communication unit and editor in chief presented the development of the paper over the past four decades and focused on the meaning and significance the paper«Komunikacije» has today. She thanked to all those who founded, created, and still produce the newspaper as their efforts resulted in the newspaper we have today.
Zdenko Duka, the deputy chairman of the Croatian Journalists' Association and Boris Hajoš, the chairman of the Croatian Public Relations Association emphasized the impact of "Komunikacije" on the positive perception of Ericsson Nikola Tesla in the public.
As a part of its 40th anniversary celebration, the «Komunikacije» organized a jubilee-related award contest for the employees of Ericsson Nikola Tesla. Gordana Kovačević handed over the award to the contest winner Joško Bilić.
The associates of Company Communication prepared an attractive review of the newspaper’s history with a retrospective of major events and people who appeared on its pages.
