TechnologyE, a practical, clear and concise presentation of the cutting edge communications solutions and services provided by Ericsson Nikola Tesla was organized on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, on the company's premises. This event was visited not only by representatives of the company's partners and customers, but also by relevant officials coming from local and regional business, social, political and media environment.

TechnologyE featured the Ericsson integrated information healthcare system developed in Ericsson Nikola Tesla. It is a new generation e-system that provides for the optimization of resources, that saves time and that supports the increased quality of service, while putting the patient at the very center of the healthcare system.

Among many state-of-the-art enterprise solutions TechnologyE presented the latest IP communications platform MX-ONE™ a fully equipped IP-PBX system enabling better utilization of IT and communications infrastructure as well as a fast implementation of the converging voice/data network. The organizations that have call centers can combine MX-ONE™ with the Ericsson IP-based call center solution - Solidus eCare.

The most complex technological part of TechnologyE was devoted to the presentation of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), an Internet Protocol based multimedia solution interesting to operators of both wireline and wireless networks. The following attractive new generation services were presented during TechnologyE: Triple Play (combination of telephony, the Internet access, TV program, entertainment and information audio visual clips via common wideband infrastructure), weShare (exchange of video clips, photos and other data during a session on the mobile phone) and IMS multimedia telephony, including multimedia conference of mobile and/or fixed users.
IP Centrex, hosted IP PBX solution, was also presented. In combination with IMS this solution enables advanced communications services for small and medium business systems.

Last but not least, Ericsson's HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) solution was presented. This top quality solution based on the most recent available technology is the next step in the evolution of the mobile telephony that offers data transfer faster than the 3G technologies.

The attractive 3D animated film with the address by the company president, Gordana Kovačević that stirred a lot of interest in the first part of TechnologyE  was the result of successful cooperation between Research Department in Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.

Modern communications solutions are in many aspects rooted in the inventions bestowed to the world by Nikola Tesla, globally relevant visionary whose name is a part of the name of the company Ericsson Nikola Tesla. TechnologyE can therefore be considered as an introduction into the year that will be dedicated to Nikola Tesla, a scientist whose heritage is nowadays enjoyed by the whole modern humanity.
