The ETK Capital Markets Day 2006 that was attended by about thirty brokers, stock exchange analysts and representatives of investors presented our company as a reliable organization that over the years has successfully coped with the turbulent ICT market conditions by strategic competence development. The characteristics of the business environment that the company operates in comprised the first topic on the agenda of the Capital Markets Day that Gordana Kovačević, the company president talked about. She pointed out the strong competition, increasingly complex demands made by customers and end users, market saturation and price pressure as the current main trends of our industry. The challenges that under these circumstances emerge before us are numerous but as some this year's ETK achievements show, such as strategic and valuable contracts signed in Croatia, on Ericsson's internal market and export markets, Ericsson Nikola Tesla is very successful in dealing with them, even turning them into business opportunities.
In the other part of the event Maria Radtke, Director of Finances and Sourcing presented the company's business performance in the first three quarters 2006, which the Croatian public was informed about in a number of articles that appeared in the printed and electronic media. The company's management is satisfied with the levels of the key performance indicators reached in this period, but until the end of the year much remains to be done in order to accomplish what was planned for 2006.
