At the end of May Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the leading regional and Croatian supplier of ICT solutions, and Tele2 Croatia, a subsidiary of the leading pan-European alternative telecom operator, signed a managed services (field operation) contract covering all Tele2 locations in the country. This is the first managed services job contracted in Croatia and, when mobile networks are concerned, it is the first managed services contract in Central Europe.

The contract was signed on May 23, 2006 by Mats Tilly, Tele2 Croatia CEO and Miroslav Kantolić, Tele2 Key Account Manager in Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

"Tele2 has recognized a significant business potential in outsourcing a number of services in order to stay focused on our core business. The field operation service is a good example of Tele2´s outsourcing strategy and, in this case, we chose Ericsson, i.e. its local company in Croatia - Ericsson Nikola Tesla, as a business partner. I believe that by operating in line with this business model we shall create more room for devoting ourselves to our mission - providing top-quality, simple and cheap communications services to our customers in Croatia," said on the occasion of signing of the contract M. Tilly.

Ericsson Nikola Tesla appreciates the Tele2's trust, especially because it was granted in a new growing telecom segment of managed services.

The development of partnership between Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Tele2 is seen in a positive light by M. Kantolić:

The cooperation which Ericsson Nikola Tesla established with Tele2 since the entrance of this operator in the Croatian market is aimed at support Tele2 in offering telecom services to end users. The recently signed managed services contract is another milestone on the path of this partnership.
