Ericsson Nikola Tesla, being a socially responsible company, decided to do something for a good cause again, i.e. to join the Clear a Square Meter of Minefield fundraising campaign.

Croatia is a country with a huge number of landmines. From 1998 to 2006 as many as 262 persons were injured, 98 killed. According to data provided by the Croatian Center for Demining approximately 240 thousand mines are still in the ground.  

In the month of gift giving and good wishing Ericsson Nikola Tesla's 100.000HRK donation is a support for clearance operations and intended to speed up effective removal of peril from the mined areas in the Republic of Croatia.

With this donation 10.000 square meters of house plots in the Vukovar and Srijem County, in the town of Vinkovci, will be demined. Thus we shall help create safe locations for residents, especially safe playgrounds for children.
