The hotel Westin Zagreb hosted on March 6-8 the conferences of Telecom Arena and Content & Media Arena. Ericsson Nikola Tesla sponsored both conferences. Telecom industry development, current Croatian market development level and liberalization as well as trends and regional news were some of the topics addressed at the 3. SEE Telecom Arena Conference held on 6-7 March. The conference is regularly attended by many domestic and foreign lecturers and traditionally involved with news and events in domestic, regional and global markets, it outlines trends and expected industry development.  In his keynote address Dražen Breglec, the state secretary in the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development presented briefly the telecom liberalization process history in Croatia and pointed out the improvements and positive trends in the country.  A line-up of speakers, including EU officials, business representatives and renowned scientists presented the topics.

The first Telecom Industry Gala Dinner was organized within the conference, also the Round Table Talks on the "Telecom sector's role in the society's development". Participants were Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Vedran Mornar, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Science, Marie-Helene Magenschab, President of VIPnet's Board, Ivan Vidaković, CEO of IBM Croatia, Petar Čavlović, president of the Telecom Association of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and Saša Pekač, professor at the Duke University, USA.

Content & Media Arena conference of 8th March hosted solutions and contents providers and also members of the academic community. Domagoj Palata from Ericsson Nikola Tesla spoke about "Networked Media", and pointed out that media were increasingly more accessible to a growing number of users. He presented Ericsson's references in the field and emphasized the advantages of business collaboration with Ericsson - from great experience, numerous successfully finished projects up to an extended network of Mobility World centers which create new ideas and applications.
