Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing celebrates its Day

On Friday, 21st November 2008 the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, FER, celebrated its Day. Distinguished guests representing the university, business and politics gathered to honor the Faculty and to celebrate the winners of „Josip Lončar", "Stanko Turk" and "Roberto Giannini" awards. This year's laureates from Ericsson Nikola Tesla are D.Sc. Lea Skorin-Kapov and Vedran Galetić, and ETK scholarship holder, Marko Basuga.

 

Also, traditional awards of Ericsson Nikola Tesla were given within the Student Paper Contest organized for the academic year 2007/ 08 by Ericsson Nikola Tesla and FER. Papers submitted had to cover topics from the field of telecommunications. Contest winners are:

First prize:Marko Basuga, Rebeka Belavić and Ana Slipčević, 
For: A social agents-network
Second prize:Darian Škarica,
For: Vessel fleet tracking by means of positioning technology and Web
Jagor Čakmak and Ivan Vučak, 
For: Location Context Management
Third prize: Luka Vrdoljak
For: Group-oriented Service Provisioning
Lucija Hilje, 
For: Multi-Attribute auctioning protocol implementation and verification
