[19.12.2008] Ericsson, whose technology has already provided billions of people with mobile telephony, is meeting this challenge with a combination of energy-efficient products and emphasis on network energy optimization. This supports telecom operators to develop and deliver affordable and sustainable communications services  to the emerging markets in a way that makes business profitable for the operators.

[02.12.2008] Mobile Broadband Network Limited (MBNL), the 50:50 joint venture formed by 3UK and T-Mobile UK to manage the integration of both operators' 3G radio access networks (RAN), has awarded Ericsson a four-year managed services contract for the operation and maintenance of the consolidated network.

[24.10.2008] Ericsson announced that it is collaborating with Intel to bring HSPA mobile data solutions to Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs). Ericsson is thereby extending its 3G mobile broadband technology from notebooks to a range of pocketable devices with various purposes.

[02.10.2008] Ericsson, is selected by LG Electronics, to provide mobile broadband modules based on HSPA - the world's most widely commercially deployed technology for mobile broadband. LG Electronics notebooks and netbooks will include mobile broadband modules from Ericsson in Q3 2008.

[24.09.2008] Ericsson announced today it has signed an agreement with Portuguese triple play operator Sonaecom to provide and integrate its open, standards-based, end-to-end IPTV solution.

[16.09.2008] Over the summer months the joint stock company Ericsson Nikola Tesla contracted in the markets of the Commonwealth of Independent Countries (CIS) jobs totaling at 14,8 million kunas. The jobs include modernization and upgrade of the wireline networks, for e.g. for the Russian telecom operators – Svyazinvest and MegaFon and the Moldova operator Interdnjestrcom.

[22.08.2008] Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Clinical Hospital (CH) Mostar signed a contract on delivery of information-communication equipment amounting to 10 million kunas.

[20.08.2008] By mid August Ericsson Nikola Tesla concluded new contracts in Bosnia and Herzegovina totalling 46 million kunas. The company contracted GSM network expansion with telecom operator HT Mostar, the long-standing company's partner. At the same time, Ericsson Nikola Tesla continued its longtime successful cooperation with BH Telecom by contracting service network expansion. 

[12.08.2008] Ericsson has signed an agreement with Telecom Liechtenstein to upgrade and expand their ADSL network with the new VDSL2 technology. Ericsson will also provide support over the next three years. The deal will bring high-speed broadband to Telecom Liechtenstein subscribers across the country.

[07.08.2008] The public presentation of the Intelligent Traffic Control system took place in the Zagreb municipality premises. The presented system is the result of cooperation activities of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Institute of Transportation and Communications and Peek traffic.

We achieved a considerable increase in sales revenues and profit and we managed to maintain a stable gross margin level. [24.07.2008] Ericsson and 3 Italia have achieved an industry first: the successful establishment of enhanced HSPA mobile-data connections in a commercial network. The enhanced HSPA technology enables maximum uplink data rates of 5.8Mbps and a significant reduction in network latency, resulting in markedly better performance for interactive consumer applications.

[17.07.20078] The Application Competition is designed to award the best IMS client-server application using Sun Project SailFin and Ericsson Service Development Studio. [15.07.2008] Vodafone Ireland, the country's largest operator, has selected Ericsson to be the systems integrator of a real-time charging and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) solution, including upgrading and expanding the operator's network.

[09.07.2008] The company Ericsson Nikola Tesla presented in its demo lab a Net Insight solution enabling the generally most effective transmission of information for broadcasting houses and Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT). Today a TV signal transmitted by means of Insight Nimbra products is received in over 100 million households worldwide in more than 20 countries.

[01.07.2008] Ericsson has become partner of choice for the integration of HSPA mobile broadband modules into Toshiba’s business laptop range in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) is the world’s most widely deployed mobile broadband technology, with 198 commercially deployed networks available in 86 countries worldwide.

[27.06.2008] On June 25, 2008 the Montenegro Ministry of Interior Affairs and Public Administration and Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed a contract in line with which the leading Croatian exporter of ICT solutions will provide the Ministry with a solution for the country’s new Emergency Call Center 112.

[26.06.2008] Ericsson Nikola Tesla contracted with the integrators in the Russian Federation, TechnoServ and Micro Technologies (on behalf of the large Russian telecom operator Svyazinvest) expansion and modernization of the fixed telecom network on seven locations in the cities of Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Sayanogorsk, Irkutsk and Orenburg.

[18.06.2008] Johan Granlund, CEO Tele2 Croatia and Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed two frame agreements in Zagreb on June 16 in line with which the leading Croatian supplier of information and communications solutions will provide the operator with solutions and services to facilitate the upgrade of GSM and UMTS systems as a sole and exclusive supplier.

[28.05.2008] The joint stock company Ericsson Nikola Tesla held its Annual Meeting on 27th May 2008. The represented share capital was 81.866.800 kunas i.e.  61,48% of total share capital, enough for the Meeting to make lawful decisions.

[27.05.2008] At the end of May Ericsson Nikola Tesla contracted new export jobs in Moldova and Belarus, in total valued at 4,5 million kunas.

[21.05.2008] In an almost festive atmosphere Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the Golden Key winner as the best Croatian exporter among large companies, signed in Sarajevo new contracts with BH Telecom, the company's longstanding business partner. Signatories to the contracts were Nedžad Rešidbegović, CEO of BH Telecom and Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

[14.05.2008] Ericsson and Dell have teamed up to ensure international travelers can stay connected with Dell's next-generation laptops that will support seamless roaming on tri-band HSPA mobile broadband networks. Dell will offer built-in HSPA mobile broadband modules from Ericsson beginning in Q2 2008.

[29.04.2008] „In the first quarter of the year Ericsson Nikola Tesla's operations were stable, with a considerable growth of sales revenues and operating profit and with a stable gross margin. The overall business results were, despite hedging measures taken, influenced by negative exchange rates deviations caused primarily by a continued US dollar fall", emphasized Gordana Kovačević, company president.

[08.04.2008] The company Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed new contracts in the Commonwealth of Independent States, CIS, worth 45,6 million kunas. A contract with the customer Svjazinvest, the largest Russian fixed operator and business partner of Ericsson Nikola Tesla over many years, includes a telecom network reconstruction in the North-West Region of Russia.

[02.04.2008] Ericsson unveiled its M700 mobile platform, the world's first commercially available LTE-capable platform, with peak data rates of up to 100Mbps in the downlink and up to 50Mbps in the uplink. These speeds match, or in some cases surpass, fixed-line data rates, enabling a superior user experience, supporting advanced real-time mobile services such as online games and video streaming.

[28.03.2008] In February and early in March Ericsson Nikola Tesla concluded contracts for exports to Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and some other markets worth 14 MHRK.

[26.03.2008] Ericsson Nikola Tesla continues its good performance in the Kosovo market after they built a completely new a GSM network for the mobile operator Ipko and started it end of last year. The latest contract in this market was signed on 17th March 2008 for a fixed Internet broadband access with the PTK operator ; it is about the delivery, implementation and integration of VDSL2 subscriber lines across the entire Kosovo region.

[25.03.2008] The 200,000 fisherman that work on Lake Victoria will soon have the opportunity to use mobile phones to call for help if they get into trouble on the world's second largest inland lake. Pan-Africa mobile operator Celtel, a subsidiary of Zain, and Ericsson, in an initiative coordinated by the GSMA's Development Fund, have committed to extend the mobile networks across the Lake Victoria region, fuelling economic and social development of the lakeside communities.

[22.02.2008] Ericsson launched the Ericsson Multimedia Communication Suite (MCS) - bringing to consumers popular services they already enjoy on the Internet in a new and enhanced mobile way. The intuitive user interface will be integrated into selected new Sony Ericsson devices such as the W760.

[19.02.2008] Ericsson has entered into an agreement to divest its enterprise PBX solutions business to Aastra Technologies. Ericsson Nikola Tesla Enterprise Systems, until now a business partner of Ericsson Enterprise, will in future collaborate with Aastra Technologies; Ericsson Nikola Tesla Enterprise Systems will further support its customers with an enterprise-related products and services portfolio.
