Ericsson Nikola Tesla celebrated its 60th anniversary in the Hypo Center in Zagreb.

The event took place under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr.  Stjepan Mesić who also attended the ceremony. Among distinguished guests was the Finance Minister Mr. Ivan Šuker, as an envoy of Prime Minister, Ms. Jadranka Kosor who was on this day in Stockholm to ratify the agreement with Slovenia. Some 700 invited guests representing political and business segments of the state, the company's customers and partners from Croatia and abroad attended the 60th anniversary celebration.

The offered program was extremely demanding in terms of technical expertise and offered contents, both in line with Ericsson Nikola Tesla's technological leadership. The moderator, Mr. Krešimir Mišak, announced the guests and also communicated with holographic images of historical characters Nikola Tesla and Lars Magnus Ericsson „present“ at the celebration. The audience was addressed by the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Ms. Gordana Kovačević and Mr. Jan Campbell, vice-president of Ericsson's market unit Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. Then Finance Minister Ivan Šuker and President Stjepan Mesić addressed the meeting.

The program included documentaries about the company, its history and social responsibility, „special news“ supplied by TV editor Zoran Šprajc who reported on great historical characters, Nikola Tesla and Lars Magnus Ericsson paying visit to Zagreb and to Ericsson Nikola Tesla. A musical intermission to the program was covered by Massimo accompanied by the Croatian Radio and TV Big Band conducted by Maestro Silvije Glojnarić. The anniversary cake was cut by a team consisting of the actual company president Gordana Kovačević and of former company presidents: Marijan Crnjak, Milivoj Pejković, Per Olof Sjöstedt and Åke Enell. Top representatives of the government and the state, also the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla and numerous customers and business partners gave statements to the press after the official program. Media showed great interest in the event: it was covered by 4 TV stations and attended by a number of journalists and photo reporters from printed and electronic media.
