The Croatian Chamber of Commerce awarded Ericsson Nikola Tesla a plaque "Zlatna kuna" for achievements in business operations in 2008, in the category of large companies in Zagreb. Hrvoje Benčić, the Operators Segment director in Ericsson Nikola Tesla, was handed in the medallion by Zlatan Fröhlich DSc the president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and by Jelena Pavičić-Vukičević, the deputy mayor of Zagreb. Ericsson Nikola Tesla was awarded this plaque for the exemplary business results, but also for the socially responsible business operations which helps the company to build the reputation, providing the motivation and satisfaction of employees, wider social acceptability, strengthening the competitiveness an in the long run enables the faster business development. Ms Pavičić-Vukičević congratulated the companies, which are examples of good companies in the city of Zagreb, Zagreb County, but also in the whole Croatia and the wide region as well. She pointed out the need of offering help to companies and encouraging the economy, in order to overcome the present crisis and maintain the competitiveness.
