Ericsson participates in Mobile World Congress

The most famous mobile communications business gathering, Mobile World Congress is taking place in Barcelona, February 15-18. Ericsson once again, by series of activities, creates a productive and enjoyable experience for existing and potential customers. Among other numerous activities, Ericsson set a world record by showcasing LTE/4G with a speed of 1 gigabit per second in the downlink.

 

Ericsson CEO Hans Vestberg is one of the keynote speakers along with a few leading industry managers. In the joint session, the managers will discuss the release of several new technologies that will accelerate the global deployment of mobile broadband. Ericsson demo activities are divided in two demo areas: Ericsson portfolio for Operators to serve traditional consumers market and 5 areas with business propositions to help Operators to serve other industries.

 

Within the attractively designed exhibition area, Ericsson demonstrates innovative ICT solutions covering five basic themes: Health, Transport, Government, Utilities and Media. A healthcare system is of strategic importance for the further development of information and communications technologies. In addition, it is the segment, which directly improves human life and creates new values. In that sense Ericsson Nikola Tesla from Croatia, being the part of Ericsson Corporation operating in the global market, presents its e-health solutions. The demonstration of a mobile heath solution is given a special attention to. It supports the remote patient control by real-time monitoring of patient’s vital functions. Thus, the latest ICT solutions and technologies improve the potential patient mobility. It enables their daily activities under the doctor's control. With the corresponding demo the exhibition visitors will become aware of the advantages given by Ericsson Mobile Health (EMH) solutions. With the simple unit application and reliable data transmission, the most advantages are offered to patients, who will be able to pass some medical tests and exams with no need to be hospitalized, With this solution, patients can be monitored, but also live and be in motion as they usually do.
