[23.12.2010] Tihomir Šicel, sales and marketing director for industry and society segment, was given the Recognition in Informatics for 2010. It is an annual award by the Croatian Informatics Association.

The Croatian Informatics Association is an independent professional umbrella association of institutions and individuals interested in the development, promotion  and improvement of informatics and related technologies in the Republic of Croatia.

[21.12.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla became a member of the CEERIUS Sustainability Index in the season 2011, starting on December, 2010. The CEERIUS (CEE Responsible Investment Universe) is the sustainability index of Vienna Stock Exchange launched in 2009. It is composed of the leading companies in reference to social and ecological quality that are traded on stock exchanges in the region of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.

[17.12.2010] In the competition Vidi e-novation, Ericsson Nikola Tesla won the prize “Tesla's Golden Egg” in the category of large companies for its product Ericsson Mobile Health. The product is aimed for remote patient medical monitoring. Boris Drilo MSc, the company director for ICT solutions for industry and society, took in the award.

[15.12.2010] 3 Italia has chosen Ericsson to modernize its IT infrastructure and systems including hardware and software, IP connectivity, operating systems and storage. With Ericsson's help, Italians will get new services even faster as 3 Italia's IT environment is improved, resulting in strengthened data capacity with more flexibility and better quality of service.

[10.12.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla gave the Christmas Party to celebrate the last business year. A great number of invited guests gathered in Saloon, the reputable Zagreb club, on Dec, 9. Most of the guests were the Company customers and business partners both from Croatia and abroad. In addition, there were persons from the public life and the representatives of the press.

[02.12.2010] Collaboration between Vipnet and Ericsson Nikola Tesla and the application of state-of–the-art technology by Ericsson made Osijek the first town in Croatia having available the transmission  rate of 42 Mbit/s. By this, the novelty presented on MIPRO is starting the commercial operation.

[30.11.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed new contracts with Crnogorski Telekom. The contracts cover the extension and modernization of 2G and 3G mobile networks of T-mobile Crna Gora. They also cover the extension of the fixed network capacity, as well as the modernization of T-com Crna Gora supervision system.

[30.11.2010] Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split celebrated this year is the 50th anniversary of its foundation. This respectable anniversary and the results of this high education institution was celebrated by the rich program that ended on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010.

[22.11.2010] MEDICA, the world’s largest annual gathering of health professionals took place from Nov. 17 to Nov. 20, 2010 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
An international organization representing the wireless communications industry CTIA – The Wireless Association®, hosted the first Wireless Health Pavilion, as part of its continuous commitment to drive the evolution of the mobile health marketplace.

[22.11.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed new strategic export contracts, among which there are contracts of special importance with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and CIS markets. The contracts value amounts to almost MHRK 10.

[22.11.2010] The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) celebrated its day. On that occasion, the best student papers, in the academic year 2009/2010 were awarded, correspondingly. Ericsson Nikola Tesla traditionaliy awarded the best student works in the telecommunications area.

[16.11.2010] Sixth in a row, Vodafone Innovation Day held from Nov. 9 to 11, in Vodafone Test & Innovation Center in Düsseldorf, Germany. Ericsson Mobile Health solution was successfully presented there.

[09.11.2010] Well attended, fifth in a row New Technology Day – DaNTe 2010, took place on Nov. 4 2010 in Rijeka City Hall, organized by the city of Rijeka and Croatian ICT association MIPRO.
A considerable contribution to the program, was given by Ericsson Nikola Tesla specialists, who presented topics on ICT solutions in traffic and municipal sector and in healthcare services, as well. 

[08.11.2010] Leading Japanese operator Softbank Mobile invests in capacity to ensure a high-quality user experience by upgrading its HSPA radio access network with Ericsson's latest radio base station solution, RBS 6000. The tool, being developed by Ericsson Nikola Tesla experts, will mean considerable savings of time in the given job. This means that application of this tool will provide the optimum integration of new base stations into the network of the Japanese operator Softbank.

[02.11.2010] At the conference by Zagreb stock exchange, the central meeting point of Croatian, but also the regional financial units, annual rewards were given by Zagreb Stock Exchange and Poslovni dnevnik. This year the laureates for best relations with investors are: HT-Hrvatska, Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Atlantic group. The ceremony was in Šibenik, and MSc Gordana Kovačević the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla attended it and took over the award.

[29.10.2010] Croatian Association for Public Relations gave annual awards Grand PRix 2010, at its 11th Conference. In the Public relations category, in business sector for large companies, our company was awarded for the project “Celebration of Ericsson Nikola Tesla 60th anniversary“.

[28.10.2010] In the evaluation of Company performance, Gordana Kovačević, the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, stressed the following:„Overall Ericsson Nikola Tesla results for the first nine months 2010 show a decrease in orders and sales year-over-year, but at the same time, an increase in Operating and Net profit of 172.5% and 30.3% respectively when excluding the impact of the MHRK 126.5 impairment of Kazakhstan receivables."

[26.10.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Hrvatski Telekom demonstrated in live, for the first time in Croatia, the implemented  LTE trial network. The event was presented to the numerous pressmen audience in Hemingway, and a mobile reporter was in live at the entrance of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla and RTL.

[22.10.2010] "Group sales in the quarter increased 2% year-over-year and was almost flat sequentially, negatively affected by a strong SEK," says Hans Vestberg, President and CEO of Ericsson.

[04.10.2010] ARCA – 8th international fair of innovations, new technologies and product with an aim to connect science and economy, took place in Zagreb from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. In three days the total of 250 innovations were presented.   Besides other distinguished persons, the participants were specialists from Ericsson Nikola Tesla headed by its president MSc Gordana Kovačević.

[01.10.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla made contracts for new export amounting to MHRK 40. The majority of contracts refer to the CIS market. They are about modernization and extension of mobile and fixed networks, as well as IP-oriented solutions for end users in business segment.

[21.09.2010] The celebration of the 10th anniversary of the company Summer Camp was held in Ericsson Nikola Tesla. Since 2001 some 300 students have realized 162 student projects and 82 prototypes under the support of 73 tutors, both from the faculty and the company. Their work has been awarded by numerous recognitions, among which there were three Principal awards.

[15.09.2010] New frame agreement between Telenor and Ericsson for more cost-efficient fixed voice production. Telenor enabled to offer Norwegians personalized and richer telephony services such as chat, presence, and video communication in the fixed network which means new revenue streams. Telenor secures a future-proof path for convergence of their mobile and fixed networks, while preparing for 4G.

[03.09.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla is selected as one of leading brands in Croatia by the international Superbrands organization.

[03.09.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Ipko are continuing a successful cooperation which started in 2007. Back then Ericsson Nikola Tesla delivered and fully integrated the entire GSM network for this Kosovo operator in a record time. The new contract is to provide software and hardware support services over a three-year period and is worth HRK 37 million.

July / August

[30.08.2010] Ericsson's ConsumerLab has released the results of a recent study called "Multi Screen Media Consumption 2010". Data was collected in China, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, the UK and US. The sample in the study is representative of more than 300 million consumers.

[26.08.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla and BH Telecom, the biggest telecommunications operator in the neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed contracts for implementation of 2G and 3G mobile network extension and upgrade of BH Telecom core network with the most recent release.

[19.08.2010] It took Ericsson some 20 years to install one million radio base stations as announced in 2007, but it took only three years to deliver the next million. The two millionth radio base station was an Ericsson RBS 6000 unit, delivered recently as part of a mobile broadband network expansion project.

[27.07.2010] In the evaluation of the Company's performance Gordana Kovačević, the President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, pointed out the following: „The environment in which Ericsson Nikola Tesla operated in the first-half of this year continued to be both demanding and complex. The underlying business performance however continues to be stable."

[23.07.2010] Group sales in the quarter declined -8% year-over-year with lower sales in Networks. Gross margin improved due to business mix and efficiency gains. Net income improved, positively impacted by improved earnings in Sony Ericsson.

[20.07.2010] DSc Ivo Josipović, the president of the Republic of Croatia and his associates, paid a working visit to Ericsson Nikola Tesla. The delegation was given warm reception by  MSc Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, who presented the company activities. The visit continued with talks between the President Josipović and the company president with associates.

[19.07.2010] On Monday, July 19, Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed a contract with a long-term partner and customer Crnogorski Telekom (the member of Magyar Telecom and Deutsche Telekom group). The contract value amounts to almost HRK 22 million.

[13.07.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla made new business deals in Russian Federation, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. This new business relates to the modernization and extension of mobile and fixed networks and microwave solutions in broadband network, as well as IP oriented solutions for business users.

[29.06.2010] Mrs. Gordana Kovačević, President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d. and Mr. Nedžad Rešidbegović, General Director of BH Telecom, the largest telecom operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed in Sarajevo on June 29 the contract for expansion of BH Telecom’s 2G and 3G mobile networks. It is a turn-key contract worth HRK 60 million.

[17.06.2010] ETK representative and a member of Document Lifecyle Management Forum (DLM Forum) for several years, Marko Lukičić from unit ICT solution for Industry and Society Segment, was enlisted the full member of  MoReq Governance Board (MGB). DLM Forum Committee is in charge of MoReq specification development, related to establishing the electronic administration in EU.

[17.06.2010] With specific reference to Customer Financing balances in Kazakhstan that totaled MHRK 298 at 31 March 2010, we have recognised an impairment charge in respect of these balances equivalent to MHRK 126.

[14.06.2010] A three day event under the title „Healthcare days in Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation“ ended in Sarajevo „Skenderija Centre“ on Thursday June 10. The event was devoted to current topics in healthcare, and our company solutions for e-health segment were successfully presented there.

[11.06.2010] The dividend for the business year 2009 will be paid out on June 17, 2010.

[01.06.2010] Ericsson Research has won an award for the best contribution to LTE standards at the Informa LTE Awards 2010, adding another feather in its 4G technology cap. Held in conjunction with the LTE World Summit 2010 in Amsterdam, the LTE Awards celebrated growth and success across the industry.

[28.05.2010] Being the most competent part of our society, especially in circumstances of global economy crisis, ICT is the segment that can, and must lead the process of social recovery, was the common conclusion by all participants in the interdisciplinary round table discussion on the topic „ICT and e-sustainability“, held within the frame of international convention MIPRO in Opatija.

[26.05.2010] MIPRO was opened in Opatija. During the formal opening there was the first run demonstration of a wireless data transmission at the record high rate of 42 Mbps. The MIPRO audience was presented this exceptional achievement by MSc Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericssona Nikola Tesla and Mladen Pejković, the president of Vipnet management.

[24.05.2010] At the press conference organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, held in the premises of Culture and Information Centre Gospić there was a demonstration of trial operation of E-Health system. The full application of the system in the whole territory of Croatia is expected to be implemented by the end of 2010.

[21.05.2010] The Annual Shareholders’ Assembly of Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d. took place on May 20, 2010 with the represented equity capital of HRK 87,814,700, which means 65.94 percent of the total share capital of the Company. Thus, the conditions for lawfully convened an eligible operation of the annual general assembly were set, which means the decisions made were legally valid.

[11.05.2010] Telecom operators increasingly recognize the need to reduce their environmental impact while pursuing business growth. New approach from Ericsson helps operators make better informed investments to minimize both carbon emissions and cost of ownership.

[10.05.2010] Julian Ogrin, the president management Tele2 Croatia and MSc Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, signed two contracts compliant to which Ericsson Nikola Tesla shall continue with deliveries of solutions and service in the area of GSM and UMTS networks. The signing was witnessed by Johan Bergstrom, technical director of Tele2 Croatia and Goran Ožbolt, the Marketing and Sales director for Tele2 Croatia.

[05.05.2010] The president of the company participated in the round table on the topic „ Corporate Social Responsibility in Croatian circumstances” that was held at the „Entrepreneurs' Day 2010“, the largest gathering on economy issues this year. Within the scope of this event, Ericsson Nikola Tesla was awarded the special prize for Corporate Social Responsibility, and the prize was handed to MSc Gordana Kovačević.

[03.05.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed new contracts for the Russian Federation, Belarus, Moldova and Uzbekistan market, which cover new business and extension of current capacities in the fixed and mobile networks.

[29.04.2010] In the evaluation of the Company's performance Gordana Kovačević, President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, pointed out the following: "Ericsson Nikola Tesla results for Q1 2010 show an increase of orders booked, sales revenues,   operating profit and Cash flow from operating activities when compared to Q1 2009.

[27.04.2010] The delegation of the Croatian Government headed by the Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor paid a visit to Ericsson Nikola Tesla. The prime minister was accompanied by the delegation of several ministers: MSc Darko Milinović, the Vice-president and the minister of Health and Social Security, MSc Đuro Popijač, Minister of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship, Prof. DSc  Ivan Šimonović, Minister of Justice, and other associates.

[09.04.2010] The key reason for this conference was signing the agreement on cooperation between Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the regional ICT leader and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FESB) of the University in Split, which is among major scientific institutions in Croatia. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen the science and economy as the precondition for the prosperity.

[09.04.2010] MSc Gordana Kovačević, president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla is one of six most prominent European women leaders  – from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Croatia and Romania.  The Awards were granted on the occasion of the International LeaderSHE Forum (The Creative Management of Change), organized in Vienna on April 7-8 in cooperation with Mr. Erhard Busek, former Vice Chancellor of Austria.

[31.03.2010] MSc Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla and MSc Nedžad Rešidbegović, BH Telecom director general, signed in Sarajevo on March 31, 2010, a contract on support services and maintenance of the complete network of BH Telecom, the largest operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

[30.03.2010] With a potential customer base of 1.3 billion, telecom operators are now taking steps to further expand and boost China's communication infrastructure and related services. China Mobile and China Unicom today signed 2G/3G frame agreements with Ericsson.

[25.03.2010] One of the leading US wireless M2M enterprise solution providers, Digi International, has chosen Ericsson's (NASDAQ:ERIC) HSPA mobile broadband module in selected Digi Transport and Digi Connect cellular gateways for rapid global adoption of 3G connectivity in M2M applications.

[09.03.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Crnogorski Telekom signed contracts to define the co-operation in the next four years.  Thus, the latest Ericsson solutions will be available to T-Mobile CG. Also, the support services for T-Mobile CG and T-Com CG were contracted. The total value of the signed contracts amounts to more than HRK 21 mln per year, which means almost HRK 85 mln in the four years to come.

[05.03.2010] The representatives of the company had a prominent appearance at Telecom Arena 2010 in Zagreb. Gordana Kovačević, the ETK president participated in the traditional panel discussion.  Milan Živković, the director for marketing strategy and business development, presented technological and economic advantages of LTE technology.

[02.03.2010] Deutsche Telekom announced their new converged service for enterprise customers in Germany, called DeutschlandLAN, based on the Ericsson Business Communication Suite (BCS).  Ericsson's solution consists of IP telephony, mobility, collaboration and multimedia conferencing applications for smart phones, PCs and IP-based desktop phones

January / February

[26.02.2010] Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Beltelecom, a Belarus fixed telephony operator, signed in Minsk the contract on the delivery of the equipment for the extension of Internet infrastructure capacity. The contract value amounts to almost HRK 65 million.  Besides the equipment delivery Ericsson Nikola Tesla will provide the support services, too.

[25.02.2010] MSc Gordana Kovačević, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, presented the company business results of the previous year and the strategy for the period by 2012.  It was pointed out that, despite complex business circumstances, in 2009 Ericsson Nikola Tesla managed to maintain its market position, profitable business and financial stability.

[11.02.2010] Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), the leading patent holder in mobile telecommunications, has signed an agreement to licence its patented WiFi technology to Japanese digital equipment manufacturer Buffalo. Buffalo is the largest WiFi manufacturer in Japan with a market share of over 60%.
