FER day celebration

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) celebrated its day. The celebration was attended by several hundred of guests from the academic society and economic area. On that occasion, the best student papers, in the academic year 2009/2010 were awarded, correspondingly.

Based on the expert commission assessment, the traditional awards by Ericsson Nikola Tesla aimed to the best student works in the telecommunications area for the academic 2009/2010, were given to:

 

1st award

Authors: Dražen Dostal, Vedrana Janković, Siniša Louč and Ružica Zec,

For the paper: Application of Multi-core Program Libraries in Parsing


 

 

2nd and 3rd awards divided among:

Authors: Hrvoje Kolarić and  Katarina Konjevod
For the paper: Support for Communication Control between Protocol Stacks  XMPP/JINGLE and SIP for Multimedia Session Set- up
Authors: Ivana Stupar, Mario Medvedec, Igor Hevčuk and Igor Lažegić
For the paper: Introduction of Network Emulator/Simulator IMUNES into CPP I&V Laboratory


Milan Živković the director for Strategy and Business Development in Ericsson Nikola Tesla, handed in the awards on behalf of the company.

 

The brass medallion “Josip Lončar”, for excellent success in completing the program to graduate diploma in the academic year 2009/2010, was awarded to our employee Marko Basuga, who was until recently the company scholarship holder, and who completed the undergraduate program FER-2 studies in Telecommunications and Information Technologies, with an average of excellence ( grades 5.0).
