The leadership of Asian mobile operators and key players in the broader mobile ecosystem gathered from 16-18 November in Hong Kong to discuss strategic and technological industry issues, related to further improvement of mobile communications.
Participants, among which stood out mobile application developers, creators of the platforms and corresponding tools, and also numerous other promoters of trends in mobile industry , seized the opportunity to exchange ideas concerning innovations, their adoptions and use in practice. The keen competition in the given sector was witnessed by the list of participants in which, besides Ericsson, the prominent positions were taken by China Unicom, China Mobile, Cisco, Huawei, NTT DoCoMo, Nokia, Telenor Group and ZTE.
Among key topics of the entire gathering, there was also m-Health. At numerous official meetings organized by GSMA, Ericsson Corporation was, in this segment, represented by Boris Drilo, the director for ICT solutions in industry and society from Ericsson Nikola Tesla. One of very interesting conferences was titled - Where will Technology Take m-Health-, within which Ericsson Mobile Health, was presented. This is the product for remote patient medical monitoring. The inevitable part of the session was a panel discussion in which Boris Drilo underlined that the presented ways of using mobile technology and remote patient monitoring may improve the quality of healthcare services and may have positive impact to prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.
