Ericsson presence on MEDICA 2010 
e-Health Smart Solutions

MEDICA, the world’s largest annual gathering of health professionals took place from Nov. 17 to Nov. 20, 2010 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
An international organization representing the wireless communications industry CTIA – The Wireless Association®, hosted the first Wireless Health Pavilion, as part of its continuous commitment to drive the evolution of the mobile health marketplace.


CTIA’s Wireless Health Pavilion featured the latest mobile products, applications and network management solutions, focused on health and wellness improvement worldwide.
Among the Pavilion participants, there were many well known names like Qualcomm Wireless Health, Accenture, Wireless-Life Sciences Alliance, SHL Telemedizin GmbH, 3M, MedApps, Telcare, Telenor Connexion AB and, Ericsson Nikola Tesla as well.


The stand, located in Hall 15, included dynamic live demonstrations and educational presentation for exhibition visitors to learn about comprehensive e-health solutions. Ericsson presented several different solutions from e-health domain: Ericsson Mobile Health for remote patient monitoring, Healthcare Networking Information System and Hospital Information System developed by Ericsson Nikola Tesla, as well as Ericsson research mHealth project CARE.
These smart e-Health solutions are focused on providing better quality of life.

This year, the World Forum for Medicine and International Trade Fair and Congress attracted 4,300-plus exhibitors and 138,000 visitors from more than 100 countries. Many of them visited Ericsson exhibition place and expressed great interest in using modern ICT to improve healthcare worldwide.
