Computers, information systems and communications became a nerve system of every contemporary society. But, there is still a whole set of examples, especially in government administration and local administration, which are not connected. Especially because of that, MIPRO, through the synergy of science, economy and administration, is trying to raise awareness on the usage of common work on creative technology use for the wellbeing of the whole society, said prof. dr. Vedran Mornar, the president of MIPRO Association at the opening of the convention in Opatija.

Among the numerous subjects, we specially emphasize the challenges associated to the national strategy of broadband access development and its causal bond with growth of domestic competitiveness, the issues concerning traffic management and interdisciplinary problems and solutions on the crossroad of expected exponential growth of ICT usage and essential sustainable growth and green technologies.

Ericsson Nikola Tesla Company, as in the last years, actively participated in the convention, not only as a prominent sponsor, but also as s participant in several round tables and workshops and gave significant contribution to counseling “Telecommunications and information technology”. Among numerous valuable initiatives and messages, sent from this convention, we have to emphasis a goal of 100% coverage with broadband access in Croatia until 2020, which is one of the ways how to boost economy and competitiveness of the country, said MSc Gordana Kovačević, Ericsson Nikola Tesla CEO. World analysis show, that as a consequence, we can expect GDP growth for 30% and 270 thousand new vacancies. It is without doubt, that the MIPRO participants, by using international experience and synergy have again published a whole set of specific recommendations for faster and more uniform development of Croatia. The question is will they be (on time) implemented into corresponding strategic documents.
