The Academic Donor Dinner, held on Jan. 17, 2011 in the Scientific and University Campus Borongaj was organized by the University of Zagreb and the Croatian National Foundation for Support the raising of the Pupil and Student Standard of Living. It was the beginning of a series of activities for promotion of program to support the pupil and student standard of living in Croatia. The honorable patron of the event was the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović, Ph.D and co-patron was the Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.
The numerous honorable guests, the representatives of public life and scientific and economic community witnessed the presentations of good quality projects and works by students from the Zagreb University. The aim of the event is to stimulate donations for scholarships to be awarded to the new generation of students.
On that occasion companies – so far donors to the Foundation, were awarded recognitions for their exceptional contribution in promoting pupil and student standard of living in Croatia. Ericsson Nikola Tesla is one of such companies, and the Minister of Science, Education and Sports Radovan Fuchs, PhD, handed in the meritorious award to the company president Gordana Kovačević, MSc.
