The conference of cities and municipalities on the efficient management of the local economy development was held on Sep. 27, 2012 in Zagreb. It attracted more than a hundred participants from the state and local government, science, economy and non-profitable sector. Among guests of honor, the most prominent one was DSc Ivo Josipović, the President of the Republic of Croatia. The conference was designed as the presentation of EFRISTAT projects, which cover the data base development consisting of all economic, fiscal, social, ecological, organizational and administrative data on a particular city and municipality, respectively. This conference was  an excellent opportunity to exchange opinions and suggestions may create a good basis for the progress of the whole country.

Hrvoje Beničić, ETK Engagement Practice and Customer Solutions director addressed the audience on behalf of Ericsson Nikola Tesla. He expressed the support to such projects, since they have been all directed to goals set by EU in its scenarios of the development by 2020.
Being among leaders of the Croatian economy, and the driver in its technological development, Ericsson Nikola Tesla has a special interest for efficient implementation of ICT technology as an accelerant of faster social and economical revival.

This approach was obvious in the presentation on the efficient management of infrastructure that Damir Medved, an expert from Ericsson Nikola Tesla, gave at the very beginning of the gathering and before a packed hall of participants. During the presentation, he explained solutions with which, the company and its partners, can attract significant resources from EU structural funds, thus accelerating the local communities development and the country as a whole. Thereby, he pointed out that today, more than ever, the critical moment is to find a reliable and proven partner, who  will, in an economically sustainable way, optimize complex processes and, with corresponding applications offer complete projects in time, safely and reliably, and in compliance with EU legislation, but also in the best interest of all citizens of Croatia.
