MIPRO 2012 
Current topics and world premiers

After a five-day work, the jubilee 35th MIPRO, which is the largest, the oldest and the most important non-commercial regional gathering dedicated to the information and communications technology, electronics and microelectronics, ended on Friday May 25. There were more than a thousand participants from more than forty countries and vast number of the topics current in technology, considered important social topics dealing with ICT scopes and challenges.


Prominent economists, experts from educational scientific and research instituted and the government administration, as well as students “MIPRO” juniors confronted their opinions at seven round tables. They also attended three workshops where shared their experience and ideas about on changes in our daily life caused by permanently increasing usage of modern ICT solutions and services. Along with eleven standard consultations, there we even five seminars on permanent education, and MIPRO-INOVA that was dedicated to innovative high–tech products and services.


Through various activities and four hundred papers published, MIPRO dealt with numerous topics, such as: ICT consumerism, high value added industry and re-industrialization of Croatia, and eco-sustainability of ICT segment, and influence of computation clouds to the economy development and M2M communications.

 

A list of established and identified authorities on ICT and economy was significantly extended by   managers and specialists from Ericsson Nikola Tesla, who attracted attention with their engagement. A comprehensive survey on this year MIPRO, and its several world premiers will be available in the next issue of Komunikacije.
