Within this year international Summer Camp, there was a special social event in Ericsson Nikola Tesla on Sept. 13, dedicated to improvements for students entering the labor market, to daily business environment and their additional integration into the academy community and connection with tutors from  the company.

Gordana Kovačević MSc, the president of Ericsson Nikola Tesla addressed the participants as on behalf of hosts with words of welcome. Especially attractive was the presentation by Siniša Krajnović, DSc, the vice president and director of the Development Unit & IMS from Ericsson, Sweden. Patrick Martin, the director of the Research and Development Center  talked about the important of the Summer Camp, and prof. Maja Matijašević, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, explained the importance of such activities in the process of the modern high education.

Through the interaction with the camp leader Saša Dešić, DSc, several students both from Croatia and abroad present themselves with interesting storiettes related to this well established project.

Since the innovative way of working is a component of the business culture in Ericsson Nikola Tesla, some of the best students of electrical engineering and computing from Croatia and the region, tried their hand in teams, not only in actual research and development projects, but in fictitious challenges like those they can expect on their future workplaces. The final winner was the team „The Basement Crew“ with the participants: Maja Majić, Franka Mikolić, Miranda Kreković, Goran Vladika, Lovro Pandžić, Hermina Petric Maretić, Toni Laštre and Inga Cigoj . They presented the idea o a new mobile service “Smart Living“ and caused the greatest interest with professionals, possible market and investors.

The good atmosphere and even more successful “networking“ was ensured by an excellent performance of the duo  coming from the company, Sanja Keća, vocal and Fran Rus, guitar. They had a perfect keyboard accompaniment by Benedek Kovacs, a guest from Hungary who was also a tutor in the Summer Camp.
