31st MIPRO Convention has started in Opatija and for one more year gathers over a thousand  participants from more then twenty countries all around the world.  From May 26-30, 2008 ten scientific and professional conferences, five seminars, three round tables, several  invited lectures, workshops and expert presentations will be an excellent opportunity to spread the knowledge and to meet novelties on the exhibition of ICT and electronic equipment, technical solutions and services.

Thanks to its diverse program MIPRO is again important meeting spot for scientists and entrepreneurs as well as for all those who work with different aspects of information and communication technology. Each of them, in their own manner and scope of work and responsibilities, adds to the development of a particular area which leads us towards the society of knowledge.
The convention is held under the auspices of the President of Croatia Stjepan Mesić, organized by MIPRO Croatian Society and technically sponsored by IEEE Region 8 and IEEE Croatia Section.

Among the numerous co-organizers of MIPRO, Ericsson Nikola Tesla Company has traditionally significant importance for the organization of the whole convention and especially for Telecommunication and information technology Conference and round table “Multimedia – the driver of actual development of telecommunications services”, to be held on Thursday, 29th, 9-11 h, Grand Hotel Adriatic, Fortuna Hall.
The participant of the round table, led by Ana Penović,  will be prof. dr. Vedran Mornar, faculty dean, FER and the president of MIPRO Association, Dragan Ćuća, director of Kapital Network, Neda Žužul Vitez, leader of CCE Research team for telecommunications, Boris Drilo, director Innovation, Marketing and Portfolio Management ETK and Mario Ravić, Strategic Marketing Manager ETK.
